Jeep factory warranty coverage
These are Jeep’s published U.S. coverage periods for new vehicles. Each runs from the warranty start date, and whichever limit — time or mileage — is reached first ends that coverage.

How to check remaining coverage on a VIN
- Locate the 17-character VIN on the driver's-side dashboard, the driver's door-jamb label, or your registration, title or insurance card.
- Go to jeep.com/warranty.html and follow the link to Mopar Vehicle Resources, or sign in to your Jeep Vehicle Dashboard. Jeep states you can search by VIN even if you have not set up a dashboard.
- Enter the VIN to open the vehicle's coverage page, which lists each limited warranty and the terms and conditions that apply to that specific vehicle.
- Read off the in-service date, then subtract it from today and compare current odometer mileage against each limit above; the warranty ends at whichever comes first.
- For a written record, ask any Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealer's service department to run a VIN warranty status report before you buy. Confirm the vehicle has no salvage or branded title, which voids FCA coverage.
Does the warranty transfer to a second owner?
Jeep's factory coverage stays with the vehicle rather than the buyer. Jeep states that the FCA US LLC new vehicle limited warranty is transferable to the second owner, and the warranty booklet extends the basic, powertrain, corrosion, high-voltage battery and roadside coverages to anyone who is a 'purchaser for use of the vehicle', so a used Jeep keeps whatever time and mileage remain.
What a warranty check cannot tell you
- Whether previous damage or modification has voided coverage on a specific component.
- Whether required maintenance was performed — manufacturers can deny claims where servicing was neglected.
- Anything about title brands, accident history, or odometer records; those are separate VIN checks.
- The status of open safety recalls, which are repaired free of charge regardless of warranty.

Yes. The 4xe high-voltage lithium-ion battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, extended to 10 years or 150,000 miles in California and other states following California TZEV rules. Gradual capacity loss over time is excluded.
