Jeep Window Sticker by VIN

The official route to an original Jeep Monroney label, what federal law requires it to show, and where the trail runs out for older vehicles.

By VIN Lookup Research DeskPublished 2026-08-27Reviewed 2026-08-27United States
Factory configurationA window sticker shows how the car was built, not what happened to it.

It carries original MSRP and factory options — no title, damage, or odometer history.

Direct answer

Jeep hosts original Monroney window stickers on its own server. Append your 17-character VIN to the jeep.com window sticker URL and the factory PDF opens directly, with no account and no fee. In our August 2026 testing this returned genuine labels for most model years from roughly 2016 onward, with gaps on older vehicles. If nothing loads, a Jeep dealer can pull the label from Stellantis records.

How to get a Jeep window sticker by VIN

  1. Find the 17-character VIN: it is visible through the windshield on the driver's-side dashboard, printed on the driver's door-jamb label, and listed on your title, registration and insurance card.
  2. Open https://www.jeep.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin= and type your VIN immediately after the equals sign, with no spaces or dashes.
  3. Press Enter. Jeep's server returns the original Monroney label as a PDF you can save or print. Nothing is charged and no sign-in is requested.
  4. If you get a one-page notice reading 'We are unable to retrieve a window sticker for this VIN', the label is not in Jeep's online archive. This happens most often on pre-2016 vehicles.
  5. In that case, ask a Jeep dealer's parts or service desk to look up the VIN in the Stellantis dealer system, or check your purchase folder, where the sticker is often filed with the buyer's order.

What to know before you look

  • Availability is inconsistent on older Jeeps. Testing real VINs in August 2026, 2016, 2018 and 2021 vehicles returned full labels, while 2012, 2015 and one 2017 VIN returned the 'unable to retrieve' notice. Recent model years are the most reliable.
  • The label lists the original base price and total MSRP, model year and trim, exterior and interior colors, engine and transmission, standard equipment, factory options with individual prices, the destination charge, EPA fuel economy figures and, on most labels, NHTSA crash-test ratings and parts-content information.
  • A window sticker is not a build sheet. The Monroney is the federally required consumer price label that was on the glass at the dealership; a build sheet is an internal assembly-line document listing RPO and sales codes, and it carries no pricing.
  • The sticker describes the vehicle only as it left the factory. It says nothing about accidents, title status, odometer history, recalls or later modifications, so it is not a substitute for a VIN history check.

What a window sticker cannot tell you

  • Anything that happened after the car left the factory: accidents, title brands, odometer history, or liens.
  • Whether the options listed are still fitted, or still work.
  • The current market value — the MSRP shown is the original suggested price for that model year.
  • Whether open safety recalls apply to this vehicle; that is a separate VIN check.

Quick answers

Jeep window sticker questions

Can I get a free Jeep window sticker by VIN?

Yes. Jeep hosts original window sticker PDFs on jeep.com and serves them by VIN at no charge, with no account required. Coverage is strongest on recent model years; older VINs may return an 'unable to retrieve' message instead.

How far back do Jeep window stickers go?

Availability is inconsistent before roughly 2016. In August 2026 testing, 2016, 2018 and 2021 Jeep VINs returned full labels, while 2012, 2015 and one 2017 VIN did not. Older vehicles usually need a dealer lookup.

What does a Jeep window sticker show?

The Monroney label shows original base price and total MSRP, trim, exterior and interior colors, engine and transmission, standard and optional equipment with prices, the destination charge, EPA fuel economy and, on most labels, NHTSA safety ratings for that exact VIN.
