Direct answer

Two different businesses use the CarfaxDeals name. CarfaxDeals.com, operated by My Yard Manager LLC of Dover, Delaware, sold reports for $7.99 each, or 100 for $300, on October 8, 2026. CarfaxDeals.us, which says it is not CarfaxDeals.com and names no operator, sold one report for $5.00 or five for $15.99. Both say they deliver CARFAX reports and both disclaim affiliation with CARFAX. Neither refunds a report once it has been delivered or accessed, except in narrow cases.

  • .com: $7.99 single; 5 for $28; 17 for $79; 100 for $300.
  • .us: $5.00 single; 3 for $12.99; 5 for $15.99.
  • Only the .com site names its company.
  • Credits never expire on either site; no subscriptions.
VIN LOOKUP · ONE-TIME REPORT

One VIN. One $14.99 history report.

For $14.99, VIN Lookup delivers an original ClearVIN vehicle-history PDF for the VIN you enter. ClearVIN appears on the DOJ provider list; VIN Lookup resells its report and is not itself listed as an NMVTIS provider. The report may include data beyond the NMVTIS core, but the records returned vary by VIN.

The VIN decode is free. No card is needed until you choose to buy; applicable tax is shown at checkout. A missing record is not proof that an event never happened.

Two sites, one name

CarfaxDeals.com lists My Yard Manager LLC (d/b/a CarfaxDeals) at 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, Delaware, a common registered-agent address, with a toll-free phone number. It supports VIN and license plate lookups and says it buys reports in bulk.

CarfaxDeals.us states on its about page that it is not carfaxdeals.com and is a separate, independent business. It names no company or address and is reachable by email. Its terms say it is an independent reseller not affiliated with CARFAX, Inc.

Refund rules

CarfaxDeals.com’s refund policy promises a full refund within 30 days if you are not satisfied, but its money-back-guarantee page limits single reports to ones not yet accessed or generated and refuses partially used bundles.

CarfaxDeals.us gives a full refund or replacement credit when a VIN fails and says delivered reports are generally non-refundable; requests must be made within 7 days.

How to check a report bought from CarfaxDeals

Before paying, read three pages, not the homepage: the terms of service, the refund policy and the contact page. Write down who the seller says it is, what it says you are buying (an original CARFAX report, an AutoCheck report, or its own report built from other sources) and the exact conditions for a refund. On discounted-report sites these pages often say less than the marketing.

After delivery, check that the VIN printed on every page matches the VIN on the car, that the report shows a generation date from today, and that the provider named on the document is the one you paid for. A report for another VIN, an old date or an unexplained brand change is a reason to stop. Title brands and total-loss records can be confirmed independently through a DOJ-listed NMVTIS provider, theft and insurer salvage at NICB VINCheck, and recalls at NHTSA.

Buyer checklist

  1. Confirm which CarfaxDeals site you are on.
  2. Read the guarantee page, not only the refund policy.
  3. Check the VIN and date on the report.
  4. Confirm title data independently.
  5. Check open recalls free at NHTSA.
  6. Check theft and insurer salvage at NICB VINCheck.

What this research cannot prove
