How long does a refund take to show up?

No timeframe is promised. Approved refunds go back through the original payment method, and financial institutions control when the money actually posts.

Answer

The policy does not promise a timeframe. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method, and financial institutions control final posting times — so the date the money appears belongs to your bank or card issuer, not to us. On our side the order is marked refunded as soon as the payment provider confirms the refund.

  • Two clocks are involved: ours ends when the provider confirms the refund; yours ends when your issuer posts it.
  • The order page is the reliable signal that the refund was processed on our side.
  • A confirmed full refund also removes report access for that order.

What happens on our side, immediately

When the payment provider confirms a full refund, the order is marked refunded, the entitlement is revoked, any report jobs still waiting or retrying are cancelled and the delivered reports are revoked. That all happens inside one transaction, in the moment the confirmation arrives.

The order status page then reads 'Payment refunded' with the note that report access for this order has been removed following the refund. A partial refund is recorded as an amount only and does not move the order into that state.

What happens on your bank's side

The refund policy is explicit that approved refunds are returned through the original payment method and that financial institutions control final posting times. There is no published turnaround, and we cannot make a card issuer post faster.

That is also why the refund lands back on the card or account used at checkout rather than anywhere you choose.

If it still has not appeared

Check the order page first: if it does not yet read as refunded, the payment provider has not confirmed a full refund to us. If it does, the next step is with your bank, using its own statement of posting times.

For anything unclear, use the contact page with the checkout email, the order ID, the VIN ending in the last six characters and a short description. Never email full payment-card details. The published response target is two business days.

What this does not cover

  • No posting time is published on the site, and none is implied by this page — the policy deliberately leaves it to the financial institution.
  • A refund that has been initiated but not yet confirmed to us will not be reflected on the order page.
  • A partial refund is recorded against the order as an amount rather than moving it into the refunded state, so the order page shows no refunded figure and may still read as paid.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Will my report still open after the refund?

No. A confirmed full refund revokes the entitlement and the reports for that order, and the order page states that report access has been removed following the refund.

How do I know the refund was processed at all?

The order status page shows 'Payment refunded' once the payment provider confirms the refund to us. That confirmation is what drives the state change.

Does disputing with my bank make it faster?

A dispute is a different path, not a faster refund. While the payment provider reviews a disputed transaction, report access is paused, and a chargeback removes it.

Can the refund go to a different card?

No. The policy states that approved refunds are returned through the original payment method.
