What happens if I close the payment page before paying?
Nothing is charged and no report is created. Cancelling sends you back to your vehicle or the pricing page with your options still open.

Nothing is charged and no report is created. A charge can only happen after you confirm and complete the secure checkout, and your report is created only after payment is confirmed. Cancelling on the payment page brings you back to the vehicle you were checking (or to the pricing page if there was no VIN), with a note saying checkout was closed; closing the tab outright simply ends the attempt — reopen the check yourself, and nothing was charged either way.
- Payment is taken on Dodo Payments' secure page; leaving it without finishing means there is nothing to complete.
- Cancelling returns you to /check with your VIN and chosen package still in the address, or to /pricing when there was no VIN.
- Your unpaid attempt is recorded as an order that never became a purchase, so nothing is delivered from it.
Where you land, and what it says
The checkout session is created with a cancel address built from your VIN and the package you chose. If the VIN was valid, cancelling brings you back to the free-check result for that vehicle, and a banner reads: “Your vehicle is still here. Checkout was closed. You can review your options below.” If there was no VIN — a pack bought straight from the pricing page, for instance — you land on the pricing page with the equivalent note: “Your report options are still here. Checkout was closed.”
Both notes carry a link to My Reports, so you can confirm for yourself that nothing new arrived. The package you had selected travels back with you, so you do not have to choose it again.
What was left behind
An order record was created when you started checkout, so support can trace the attempt if you ever need them to. It stays unpaid: the delivery pipeline only runs on a confirmed payment, which is why no PDF, no email, and no credit follows an abandoned checkout.
When you are ready, start again from the same page. If the order you left behind can still be resumed, the same payment link is handed back rather than a second order being created.

- Check My Reports if you want to confirm nothing was delivered.
- Press the payment button again when you are ready to finish.
- Contact support with the time of the attempt if a charge appears on your statement anyway.
What this does not cover
- This page covers a checkout you closed before paying. If the payment provider had already confirmed the payment, it is a completed purchase and the refund policy applies instead.
- The current policy does not state how long an abandoned order record is kept.
- Every restart counts toward the limit of ten checkout starts per hour.
