No. Guests are fully supported at checkout. VIN Lookup asks for no account and infers no identity: your email is collected by the payment provider and linked to the order only after payment. The report page then stays reachable from that browser through a private, HTTP-only access token, and the delivery email carries its own link. Connecting the order to an account afterwards is offered, not required.

Buying as a guest
The checkout route is explicit about this: a verified account removes repeat typing at the payment page and lets the dashboard own the order immediately, but guests remain fully supported and receive no inferred identity. Their email is collected by Dodo Payments during the secure checkout and linked to the order only after payment.
When the order is created for a guest, the server issues one order-scoped access token — replacing any earlier token for that order — and stores it in an HTTP-only cookie, so that browser can reopen the order and the report as often as it likes for seven days, or until the order is claimed to an account.
Getting back to the report later
Three routes exist. The guest cookie keeps the order reachable in the same browser for seven days, and the stored access token expires on the same seven-day clock. The report-ready email sent to your checkout address carries a View report link and a Download PDF link. And the success page offers to connect the purchase to a verified account, which is the durable recovery path.
Whatever you choose, download the PDF when it arrives. A saved file does not depend on a cookie, an inbox or a session.
When an account is worth it
An account puts the purchase in My Reports, survives a cleared browser, and is the only route that keeps a pack's remaining credits easy to find from any device. The claim must be made with the same email used at secure checkout; a different verified account is refused, and for privacy the checkout email is never displayed back to you on that screen.
If a purchase was made with the wrong email, or a claim keeps failing, contact support with the order ID rather than paying again.
What this does not cover
- Guest order access is time-limited: the cookie and the stored access token both run on a seven-day clock, so a guest who waits and clears cookies can lose the browser route to the order.
- Account claiming requires the email used at secure checkout; the current policy does not offer a self-service way to move an order to a different email.
- Sign-in and account features depend on public authentication being enabled on the site; when it is not, the guest route is the one that operates.
