Why does the order page say 'Confirming your payment'?
It means our server has not yet received the payment provider's confirmation. The page waits, updates itself, and asks you not to submit a second payment.
Check the review date and linked sources for context. Live availability, prices and record coverage can vary by VIN, source, jurisdiction and time.
It means the payment result has not yet been confirmed on our server. The page is waiting for secure server-side confirmation from the payment provider, and it says plainly not to submit another payment while it waits. The browser redirect from checkout and the provider's confirmation can land a few seconds apart, so this state is usually brief and clears by itself.
- The redirect back from the payment page is not proof of payment; only the server-side confirmation is.
- Do not pay again while this message is showing — the page says so for a reason.
- The page refreshes itself and will not invent a payment status if it cannot reach the server.
Why a redirect is not a confirmation
Two things travel separately after you pay: your browser, which is redirected straight back to the order page, and the payment provider's server-to-server notification, which is what we actually trust. Those can arrive a few seconds apart. Until the second one lands, the order is still recorded as awaiting payment, so the page shows 'Confirming your payment' rather than claiming an outcome it has not verified.
If you bought a pack, the credits panel says the same thing in its own words: no credit is available until the payment is confirmed server-side, and you should not submit another payment while confirmation is pending.
What to do while it says this
Wait and leave the page open, or close it — it polls on a schedule and updates on its own, and the report link is emailed when the report is ready. Do not start a second checkout. If the page cannot reach our server it shows an error and a Try again button instead of guessing.
If, after several attempts, the page switches to 'This order is not visible from here', that is a different problem: the order exists but this browser cannot prove access to it. Sign in with the same email you entered at checkout, or reopen the page in the browser you paid in. Paying again is never the fix.
What this does not cover
- The current pages do not state a maximum confirmation time; the page keeps checking with a widening interval.
- This message describes what our server has received, not what your bank or card app is showing.

Frequently asked questions
Does this mean my card was not charged?
No. It only says our server has not yet received confirmation. If you believe you were charged more than once for the same order, the refund policy lists duplicate charges as an eligible request for review — contact support with your order reference.
Should I keep refreshing the page?
There is no need. The page re-checks every five seconds for the first minute, then less often, and updates itself. A Try again button appears only if a refresh actually fails.
I bought a pack — why can I not enter a VIN yet?
Credits become available only once payment is confirmed. Until then the panel reads 'Report credits pending payment' and no VIN field is offered at all — the form only appears once the order is paid, so a credit cannot be spent on an unconfirmed order.
