What keeps access alive
Every request for a report checks the same two things: the order is paid, and the access record attached to it is active and belongs to you — either through your signed-in verified account or through the browser that paid. A report marked revoked is never served. Nothing in that check is time-based, which is why My Reports says the PDF is available whenever you need it.
The two routes age differently. The account route is durable: sign in with the checkout email and the order is there. The checkout-browser route is a convenience created with a seven-day life, so a buyer who never signs in is relying on the shorter of the two.
What takes access away
A refund revokes the order's access and marks its reports revoked; the order page then says report access was removed following the refund. If a payment dispute is opened, access is suspended while it is reviewed, and My Reports says access is paused rather than gone — winning or cancelling the dispute reactivates it. A dispute resolved against the order becomes a chargeback, and access is revoked the same way a refund revokes it.
Because none of that is under your control once it starts, the saved PDF is the copy that cannot be switched off. The terms explicitly let you retain a copy for your own internal use.

That wording belongs to an open payment dispute: the entitlement is suspended while the provider reviews the transaction, and is reactivated if the dispute is won or cancelled.
Should I download it immediately anyway?
Yes. Since no retention date is published and access depends on the order staying in good standing, a locally saved PDF is the copy you fully control.
