Can I open my report on another device?

Two ways your access is proved

Every report page checks one of two proofs. The first is the checkout browser itself: when you start checkout as a guest, a private access cookie is written to that browser before payment and the matching token is stored for seven days, so that browser can open the report without signing in — until that window ends, or until you sign in with the checkout email, which moves the purchase into your account and retires the browser-only access. If you were already signed in with a verified account at checkout, the purchase is bound to that account instead and the account is your access path. The second proof is that verified account: once you sign in with the email address on the purchase, the order and its reports are read from your account instead of from the cookie.

The report link in your delivery email is simply the page address. It contains no token, so forwarding it or pasting it into a different browser does not carry your access with it. That is deliberate: the report page never confirms that a report exists to a visitor who cannot prove access.

Moving from your phone to a laptop

Open My Reports on the second device and choose sign in. Enter the same email address you used at secure checkout; a six-digit code is emailed to that address, and once it is verified the purchase appears in your library automatically. From there you can open the report in the browser or download the original ClearVIN PDF again as often as you need.

If the sign-in email is not the address you typed at checkout, the order will not attach to that account. Sign out and use the checkout address instead.

Steps

1. Open My Reports on the second device.
2. Sign in with the exact email used at secure checkout.
3. Enter the six-digit code sent to that address.
4. Open the report, or download the original PDF to keep.
