Why does my report link say it needs verified access?

That message means this browser could not prove the report is yours - not that the report is missing. Sign in with the checkout email to open it again.

Answer

It means this browser could not prove the report belongs to you. It is not a statement that your report is missing or was deleted: the page never discloses whether a report exists to a visitor it cannot authorize. Sign in with the verified email address connected to the purchase, or reopen the link in the browser you paid from while its private access is still live.

  • The wording is a privacy rule, not a delivery failure.
  • Signing in with the checkout email restores access on any browser.
  • The paying browser's private access expires after 7 days.

What the page actually checked

When the report page loads, it asks the report interface whether this visitor may see the report. Access is granted in one of two ways: a verified account whose email matches the purchase, or the private access cookie written to the browser that paid. If neither is present, the answer comes back as 'not found' and the page shows the verified-access card with a sign-in button.

The common causes are all environmental: a different device or browser, a link opened from an app's built-in browser that did not keep the cookie, cookies cleared since the purchase, the seven-day window having passed, or being signed into an account whose email is not the one used at checkout.

How to get back in

Press the sign-in button on that card and use the address you typed at secure checkout. A six-digit code is emailed to it, and once your email is verified the report loads from your account rather than from a cookie. That path keeps working on new devices and after cookies are cleared.

If you would rather not sign in, reopen the original link in the browser you paid from, within seven days of purchase. If neither route works, contact support with your order ID and the last six characters of the VIN rather than paying again.

What this does not cover

  • The page will not tell you which email address was used at checkout; that is withheld on purpose.
  • The checkout browser's private access expires 7 days after purchase.
  • Access also requires the order to be in a paid state with an active entitlement.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Does this message mean my report was deleted?

No. The page deliberately gives the same answer whether or not a report exists, so an unauthorized visitor learns nothing. Sign in with the checkout email to see the real state.

I clicked the link from my email app and it failed. Why?

Some apps open links inside their own built-in browser, which does not carry the cookie from the browser you paid in. Open the link in your normal browser, or sign in.

Do I have to pay again to see it?

No. A second payment never repairs access. Sign in with the checkout email, or contact support with your order ID.
